7 Habits That Will Keep You Looking Young

We all want to look young, but we have different ideas about what that means. My definition of 'looking young' is simply less noticeable signs of aging.

Many of us desire the secrets to youthful-looking skin. As we grow older, there are few things that go downhill faster than our skin. Wrinkles and dark spots start appearing, while fine lines and a dull look become normal. So today I am going to reveal some basic daily habits which can help you to bounce back your youthful glow.

TAKING CARE OF OUR SKIN

Our skin is our largest organ. So it's super important that we take care of it. Looking young is not only desirable but also important for maintaining your health. The following list will help you look younger with the best food, health, and beauty habits to keep your skin glowing.

So, if you're really looking to keep your skin youthful then try implementing these 7 daily habits.

#1. CHECK YOUR DIET

The way you eat can have a huge impact on how old you look. If you want to look younger, focus on eating more fruits and vegetables and less fat and carbohydrates. Higher intakes of vitamins A, C, and E and a lower intake of fats and carbohydrates are associated with a better appearance as your skin ages.

#2. EXERCISE REGULARLY

Exercise keeps your heart healthy, which is important because your heart pumps blood through all of the organs in your body—including your skin!

It's not just about staying fit and looking good (although that's certainly a nice bonus). Exercise helps reduce stress and anxiety, which can lead to more wrinkles and sagging skin. It also helps keep you alert and energized—you'll feel more youthful than ever!

#3. STAY HYDRATED WITH WATER

Yeah, I know that's not exactly news to you. But have you ever thought about how important it is to drink enough water every day? It's pretty important!

Here's why: Water helps keep your skin moist, plump, and healthy-looking. That's because it helps regulate the body's internal temperature and prevents dehydration (which can lead to dry skin). Dehydration also causes fine lines on the face and neck area by damaging cells in your dermis (the layer of skin beneath the epidermis). So keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water throughout the day (about 8 glasses)!

#4. USE SUNSCREEN

The sun is a beautiful thing, but it can also be very damaging. UV rays penetrate clouds and glass, so they can still harm your skin even when it's cloudy outside or when you're driving in a car with tinted windows!

UV rays can cause wrinkles and premature aging, so it's important to protect yourself from them. When you're going outside, make sure to wear sunscreen every day. You should apply it at least 15 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours. You also need to wear sunglasses when you're in the sun. They protect your eyes from UV rays and keep them looking young!

#5. TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF EVERYDAY

This is important because stress can cause premature aging of the face by causing wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and forehead area due to constant frowning or furrows from worry lines.

You can reduce your stress level by practicing good relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, or massage. Also, be sure to get enough sleep; this is important for keeping your skin healthy by allowing it to repair itself overnight. It also helps reduce dark circles under your eyes which can make you look older than you are!

#6. USE GOOD QUALITY SKIN CARE PRODUCTS

We've all heard the phrase, "You are what you eat." But have you ever considered that your skin is also what you put on it?

That's right—the products you use to cleanse and moisturize your skin have a huge effect on how young (or not) your skin looks. And if you use bad-quality products, they can actually make your skin look older! Moisturizing your skin morning and night is a very easy way to help your skin appear more youthful and vibrant.

Some of my favorite skincare products:

Firming Cream: Dermatic Effects skin firming cream is a scientifically designed contouring moisturizer that can help visibly smooth the appearance of fat and cellulite and visibly firm skin. This daily skin smoothing lotion helps visibly contour, hydrate, and bring youth-renewing benefits to your body, from the neck down.

Ideal Eyes: This Caffeine Eye Cream is specially designed to deliver powerful benefits to the delicate skin around your eyes. Just 30 seconds on each eye area provides immediate hydration, visible firming, brightening, and smoothing to stop the look of tired, stressed eyes in its tracksGoodbye bags, hello bright eyes.

Line Corrector: Tru Face Line Corrector helps soften the appearance of moderate to deep lines around your mouth, eyes, and forehead. This targeted approach helps diminish the most aggressive signs of aging while still being gentle and safe for all skin types.

#7. SELECT SUPERIOR SUPPLEMENTS

Since what seems like the dawn of time, our parents have been telling us to take our vitamins every day, right? Well, turns out mom and dad knew what they were talking about. Taking supplements is a great way to help us feel our best as we age. Look for supplements that are formulated with unique antioxidants, and important vitamins and minerals specific for anti-aging support. One of my favorites is Tēgreen 97®It's Green tea greatness. It's a highly concentrated extract of the antioxidants found naturally in green tea and helps promote long-term cellular health. This stuff has the antioxidant power of 7 cups of tea in each capsule.

Also, collagen is a protein found throughout our bodies, specifically in our skin, that helps our skin appear more youthful. But as we age, the production of collagen in our bodies slows down—1.5% less every year to be specific. Luckily, taking supplements can help replenish this depleting protein. And taking a product containing powerful collagen peptides, like Beauty Focus™ Collagen+, is a great solution because it is easy for the body to digest and absorb.
